Almost 10 months

Look how nice and straight I sit!
Our newest baby gear-a rainforest jumperoo.
Andrew really is a happy boy.
Gotta love those toes!

Andrew went for his 9 month check up a week and a half ago with Dr. "D." He was 17.5 lbs and checking out just fine. The doctor seemed to think Andrew had a little bit of a temper. Andrew tore all of the paper off of the exam table into shreds. He was going a little stir crazy confined in the little exam room. Andrew has had a few playdates with some girlfriends, Brylie and Caroline. He will have many choices of ladies when the time is right:) Andrew loves his jumperoo as you can see. It is hours of entertainment for me; Darin thinks we can get rid of the T.V. now. I continue to attempt at giving my son baby food twice a day; however, not much of it is to his liking.
Andrew is so precious and we are enjoying all of the good times of parenting.

Andrew Update

Daddy, Grandma and Andrew heading out on their stroll.

Andrew loves to go to the park and swing. He usually cries when we take him out. He thinks it is a good place for a nap. If you are wondering why there is a giraffe in the background of a lot of the pics, it is Andrew's pillow if he falls backward. Andrew has had many much enjoyed visits from the grandparents lately. He is very friendly to everyone and likes seeing new faces.

Fun Days

Andrew had a playdate with his friend Caroline.  There was not a whole lot of playing going on.  Andrew had his nap first and then Caroline went down for her nap.  Then most importantly Stacey and I had lunch out.  Andrew has a new duck bathtub and he loves it.  We have taken Andrew to the nature preserve a few times and he likes to watch the children and swinging, of course.  Andrew is very vocal these days and loves playing with his toys.  He is sitting independently, and he rolls only from stomach to back.  Andrew braces himself to the floor if you try to roll him on his stomach. Oh well.  He is a barrel of fun, that is for sure.  Whether Andrew likes baby food or not depends on the day.

The Andrew Report

A well behaved boy in Santa's lap.
Woo pig sooie.

Andrew's first time to see a dog.
Andrew's first set of sunglasses from Grandma Ada.
A favorite Christmas gift.

Uncle Justin on Christmas.
I am so sorry to all of our faithful blog followers for such a delay in posting. Well... here is my best attempt. These are a few of our favorite photos over the holidays. We had a wonderful Christmas with our family. Andrew is so much fun these days. He is sitting up on his own and has a love for bathtime now. He likes to suck on his soapy bath toys. I believe he is teething, but no teeth yet. Andrew had green beans for the first time today. He was not too impressed; hopefully he will grow to like them like his dad. We have enjoyed some family time together. Darin took off 2 weeks for Christmas after working like a crazy man in the weeks prior. Andrew is now about 16 1/2 lbs. and even has some rolls. He will visit the developmental pediatrician next week to evaluate. We think he is amazing in every way.

Andrew-7 months old

Andrew's very first bowl of cereal. He was not sure what to think.

Andrew's first Thanksgiving.

Our little boy is growing so fast.  Andrew now rolls over frequently and is working on rolling in the other direction.  I believe he is a little spoiled; he does not like to be by himself.  Andrew is probably around 15lbs., he was 13 lbs. 6 oz. about 3 weeks ago.  He is already loving the Christmas lights and continues to be curious about everything.  He loves to pull on all of the ornaments on the tree.  It is so cute.  Andrew was sleeping through the night, but has decided that his mommy does not need to sleep through the night.  He now likes to eat once during the night, but goes right back to sleep.  I am still struggling with getting Andrew to take naps.  Our little boy is still a charmer.  He is such a blessing to our family and brings so much joy and laughter to our lives.  I cannot wait for Christmas with Andrew and family.  I must go to bed.

The Andrew Report

Andrew is ready for bed
Andrew's little friend Caroline

Andrew went for his 6 month checkup last Friday and he was 13lbs. 6oz. and 24.5 inches long. What a big boy!! He is doing so well and makes us so happy. He smiles all of the time and is very verbal. He has found his voice and has a high pitch squeal that he likes to practice. He is very close to rolling over. He continues to only sleep for 30-40 minutes at a time during the day. This makes it hard for his mommy to get anything done during the day. I spend a lot of time trying to get little Andrew to take a nap. I believe he thinks he is going to miss something if he sleeps to long. Andrew was sleeping through the night, but lately has been waking up once during the night. Darin has been out of town for about a week and comes home today. Thank goodness, we are looking forward to seeing him this afternoon.
